Hi, my name is Michael Whorley Jr., Owner of Gretna Valley Landscape.  I thought I would share with you the history of how Gretna Valley Landscape. came into existence.  It was the summer of 2015, and I was living in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. I have been landscaping for other companies since 2008; and my wife asked me what I thought about starting a lawn care business together.

At that time, I was working for another business.  When my wife first asked me about starting the lawn care business together, I remember thinking “That's way too much work!”  However, I was a hard worker and liked the idea of not working under someone else.  My wife and I had a small pick-up truck and some landscape equipment.  The first year we kept really busy and did real well. In 2016, we landed a five-year contract with a development and an additional ten-year contract. We advertised and picked up new business and would maintain mostly residential properties.

 I kept building the lawn care business and getting more into landscaping and hardscape projects.  The more I worked in the lawn care and landscaping, the more the word spread about our business!  I’ve always loved building things, making things more beautiful and bringing things to life.

After spending numerous years working in the lawn care industry, I started to realize it was a natural part of me. 

I wanted to give my business an attractive name and that would match the beautiful area around us and also to show that we can do work year-round, Gretna Valley Landscape.

After all the years of transforming average to nightmare landscapes into magnificent landscapes, my love and passion is just as strong as when I first started.  I love the landscaping; I love our customers and I love the people I work with!

Here at Gretna Valley Landscape, we feel the work we perform is powerful, beautiful, enduring, and have a philosophy of making our landscapes as one with nature!
